Make Your Own Mosaic

Description:Create a mosaic based on an object or scene. For example, make a mosaic out of a flower, butterfly, or sunset. When it’s complete, use Velcro or magnetic strips to hang it up.Ages: 6 to 12 Budget: $10.00 Prep Time: 20+ minutes, depending on the size and object you are making Supplies: Construction paper, cardstock paper, scissors, glue, pencils (optional: stencil or template) Special Considerations: If the child does not know what to draw or how to draw, help them with tracing the stencil or template How to Incorporate the Volunteer: Help pick some colored construction paper, cut them into strips, and cut it again into tiny squares.
