Thumprint Greeting Cards

Description: Send a personalized and thoughtful card to a friend or family member. Use your thumbprint to create your own fun character.
Ages: 5 to 12

Budget: $20.00

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Supplies: White construction paper 8″ x 11″, stamp pads, crayons, colored pencils or markers.

Special Instructions: Fold the paper to look like a greeting card and on inside write the following inscription:

These are my fingerprints tiny and small,
For you to see Winter Spring, Summer and Fall.
They are here to remind you,
The whole year through
That you’re the best (parent, friend teacher, etc)!

Roll thumb over stamp pad and press onto card. Decorate the thumbprint to look like animals, people or cartoons. Children can also write their own poem.

How to Incorporate the Volunteer: Volunteers can help with ideas for figures, drawing the figures and constructing the card.
